I'm feelin' kinda fragile now This busy march has rolled on by If all my time just leads to this Then fuck it I'll do just fine Maybe you're the one that might Just leave me behind The swarms of flies are sneaking in The people just begging to stay Not asking for the grace of God But man you are crossing the line And all I can hear you say is "Don't leave me behind" Some words, some blame, the dread of this A yearning that I can't keep in I never meant to make you cry We're gonna sleep seperate tonight Oh I can read your thoughts, "Don't leave me behind" What is it now That you can't see I've lost my mind Obviously I need a bit more wine To convince my thoughts It's now or never time For me to be wrong Don't leave me behind Don't leave me behind Don't leave me behind I think I've got some peace of mind I'll wallow in my mess alone But how is it you break away From everything you've always known All I can feel in my heart is home is no longer home What is it now That you can't see I've lost my mind Obviously I need a bit more wine To convince my thoughts It's now or never time For me to be wrong What is it now That you can't see I've lost my mind Obviously I need a bit more wine To convince my thoughts It's now or never time For me to be wrong Don't leave me behind Don't leave me behind Don't leave me behind Don't leave me behind

First time in years that I've felt this way A stoner holy roller trying to get his say I want to touch I want to feel your skin I'm anxious scared to death of almost everything The clumsy kids found himself in strife Forgotten how to make up his fucking mind Oh mama please tell him what to do Has heartbreak ever tasted so sweet to you Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way The seven year itch has me going insane My loved ones in mind tell me thats okay Well maybe everything must come to an end I'm feeling kind of backwards but I'm not quite bent Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way Do you ever feel this way I wonder if you feel the same Do you ever feel this way I wonder if you feel the same Do you ever feel this way I wonder if you feel the same Do you ever feel this way I wonder if you feel the same

about

Sydney singer/songwriter Blain Cunneen has for the last decade been an avid enthusiast and resident of the Sydney music scene. On any night of the week, it’s not an uncommon sight to see Cunneen working as a sideman or collaborator in numerous bands in a night.
However, for the first time, fresh from touring the world with indie folk sensation Julia Jacklin, Cunneen is embarking on his only solo venture to date.

Holed up in his Ashfield bedroom in the early months of 2019, Blain Cunneen recorded his debut 4 track EP “The Prizes We Demand” mostly in food stained t-shirts and underwear. He endured the sweltering heat nurtured by his beloved collection of Dyson fans, all the while undergoing his first bout with mental illness, which he explains hit him like a “...freight train out of fucking nowhere...”
The result of this period is a nostalgic musical sensation, reminiscent of the music of Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Andy Shauf and George Harrison that also boasts the humorous side of the young maverick.
